Friday, June 29 2007 10 Weeks Old I'm having a great day. I moved from CPAP to a Nasal Cannula. It is so nice to have that stuff off my face. My clothes are for up to 7 lbs. They are a bit big on me so my Mommy ordered some cloths that will fit me better. I should get my new clothes next week. |

Tuesday, June 26 2007 9 weeks 4 Days 3 lbs 12 oz I received some more vaccinations and am doing very well. My new bed looks a lot like my old bed, but it doesn't have all the temperature controls that were on my old bed. It does still have a small heater, because I still need a little help maintaining my body temperature. |

Monday, June 25 2007 9 weeks 3 Days 3 lbs 10 oz I am wearing clothes. I have a new Infant care bed. I am able to maintain my temperature so I don't need my old bed. I will make sure my parents get some pictures of my new bed tomorrow. I received my first vaccinations today. |

Saturday, June 23 2007 9 Weeks 1 Day I move to CPAP today. CPAP is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. It is a big step up from my SIMV. I am now forced to breathe on my own. I may lose some weight in the next few days due to the extra work, but that is to be expected. If I do well over the next few weeks, they will lower the pressure. My Parents and Nurses are very excited now that I have taken this important step. The purple thing in my mouth is my pacifier. Now that I don't have any tubes ( other than a small feeding tube ) in my mouth, I get to enjoy a pacifier. Definitions from Meriter Website More info on Apnea of Prematurity from KidsHealth |
