Thursday, May 31 5 WEEKS 6 DAYS OLD Today I received CPT for the first time. CPT or Chest PT is Chest Physiotherapy ( vibrating or tapping on the chest ). This helps with my breathing. While I am defining stuff, my ventilator is on SIMV mode. SIMV - Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (machine breaths timed to baby's). This means that the machine helps me breath if I don't do it on my own. It has been a big help. Definitions from Meriter Website |

Tuesday, May 29 5 WEEKS 4 DAYS OLD Increased my tube feeds to 16ml every 3 hrs. 28 Calories per oz. |

Monday, May 28 1lb 14oz tonight. 5 WEEKS 3 DAYS OLD Took a bath today. The eye doctor stopped by and my eyes are doing well. Increased my tube feeds to 15ml every 3 hrs. 28 Calories per oz. |

Sunday, May 27 1lb 11oz Today. 5 WEEKS 2 DAYS OLD Good day today. Decreased my vent setting to 25 breaths per minute. |

Tuesday, May 22 4 WEEKS 4 DAYS OLD Tired today. Had a blood transfusion. Tolerated it well, but it made me very tired. When they take blood for testing, I need help to replace the blood. I can only make enough for me, so the doctors need to replace what they take. |

Saturday, May 19 4 WEEKS 1 DAY OLD First time my mommy held me. I enjoyed it a lot. My nurse Rachel took a picture of me and my family. Aunt JoAnn was here today too, but only 2 people are allowed to visit me at a time. |

 Holding Daddy's Hand  Holding Daddy's Hand. I'm up to 1lb 6oz today, and eating more every day.  This is my room. A bunch of my friends are in here with me.  I like it dark, so I stay under a blanket. |

Friday, May 11 3 WEEKS OLD Spinal Tap to check for infection. Everything is ok. I'm on a little bit of antibiotics for a short time. |

Sunday, May 6 2 WEEKS 2 DAYS OLD Blood transfusion. Handled it well. I'm just not producing enough red blood cells at this time. I need some blood to help me out. |
